چکیده
Global emergence and persistence of the multidrug-resistant microbes have created a new problem for management diseases associated with infections. The development antimicrobial resistance is mainly due to sub-judicious unprescribed used antimicrobials both in healthcare environment. Biofilms are important their role microbial infections hence considered novel target discovery antibacterial or antibiofilm agents. In this article, zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO-NPs) were prepared using extract Plumbago zeylanica. ZnO-NPs characterized then activity was tested against Gram-positive Gram-negative bacteria. polydispersed, average size obtained as 24.62 nm. presence many functional groups indicated that phytocompounds P. zeylanica responsible synthesis, capping, stabilization ZnO-NPs. Synthesized NPs inhibited biofilm formation E. coli, S. aureus, aeruginosa by 62.80%, 71.57%, 77.69%, respectively. Likewise, concentration-dependent inhibition EPS production recorded all test Microscopic examination biofilms revealed reduced bacterial colonization on solid support altered architecture biofilms. also remarkably eradicated preformed bacteria up 52.69%, 59.79%, 67.22% aeruginosa, findings reveal ability green synthesized inhibit, well eradicate,

متن کاملAntimicrobial Behavior of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles and β-Lactam Antibiotics against Pathogenic Bacteria
Background: Multi-drug resistance among the pathogenic bacteria poses a serious threat to public health. Nanoparticles are one of the most effective therapeutic agents. Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) are well known antimicrobial agents and are regarded as nontoxic and bio-safe. The present study aims to investigate the antimicrobial effect of ZnO NPs against the bacterial strains i.e. Klebs...
